Make impactful product decisions: behavioral science meets aesthetic experiences.

Throughout the lifecycle of creating products, designers make countless decisions about form, function, experience, emotion, and context. That process can be complex, especially as AI adds new possibilities and new design constraints. This interactive session introduces the NOTES, a practical framework that helps designers make intentional choices while accounting for a product’s emotional, behavioral, and systemic impact on our lives. Built at the intersection of neuroaesthetics, behavioral science, and systems thinking, NOTES gives you concrete tools you can use at every stage of your product development. We’ll look at real-world product examples that illustrate how aesthetics and behavioral science merge to create memorable and meaningful experiences. You’ll leave with a toolkit for designing behaviorally-informed products, digital tools, and services that spark joy, solve real problems, and elevate everyday experiences.

Today, we exist as a global voice for industrial design within a broad ecosystem of design disciplines and we celebrate the cross-functional overlap of many creative fields.
