The School of Design and Creative Technologies offers a transformative educational experience that turns creative talents and curiosity for the world into a fulfilling profession. Within our Department of Design, students explore new ways to engage with the most exciting and urgent issues of our time and experience the power of design to affect positive change.

Our design program is intended to reshape product and industrial design in the region and bring more product development and manufacturing to the state of Texas. Our students are bold problem solvers and makers who are working to improve people’s lives and solve complex and simple problems.

Join us during Open Design Day for an opportunity to experience our program first hand and meet the next generation of designers. We invite you to explore how our students think and create at The University of Texas at Austin.

Refreshments will be available. We will also be providing a free shuttle service from Embassy Suites by Hilton Austin Downtown South Congress (300 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704) to UT campus and back every thirty minutes.
