VENUES & HOTEL

Land Acknowledgement

The organizers of the International Design Conference acknowledge that the 2022 event takes place on the traditional land of the Coast Salish people, including the Duwamish, Suquamish, Stillaguamish, and Muckleshoot people past and present.

This acknowledgement does not take the place of authentic relationships with indigenous communities but serves to remind ourselves that, by being here for our event, we must honor with gratitude the land itself and these Tribes.

Seattle has a vibrant Native culture that can be found in museums, galleries, streets names, and other public spaces. Learn more about the Duwamish Tribe at www.duwamishtribe.org

Benaroya
Hall

Much of IDC 2022 will take place at Benaroya Hall, the home of the Seattle Symphony in downtown Seattle.

Occupying an entire city block at the very core of the city, this beautiful and sophisticated property celebrates the vital role of performance events. It also allows for the continuity of commercial life along one avenue and provides a much-needed public space, in the form of a terraced garden, along another.

High-end hotels, retail shops, culinary delights, and local attractions are all within close walking distance.

Fairmont Olympic
Hotel

Located just steps from Pike Place Market, the waterfront, museums, and world-class shopping, this landmark since 1924 has offered nearly a century of luxury service standards, while melding classic elegance with mid-century modern room décor.

We will be among the first to visit after its freshly finished, multi-million dollar renovation, which brings new life to the design, culinary offerings, and social experience of this unique space.

Seattle
Aquarium

Opened in 1977, the Seattle Aquarium's animal collection is housed within six major exhibits: Window on Washington Waters, Life on the Edge, Pacific Coral Reef, Birds & Shores, the Underwater Dome, and Marine Mammals. It is the Northwest region's premier resource for hands-on marine experiences and conservation education.
