Design for the Smallest Ones

Track 1

Wed - Sept. 21

12:30 pm EDT

"If you want to change the world, you have to start from childhood."

Being convinced about the necessity to educate our children about aesthetics and relevant themes such as sustainability, we should create thoughtful and pleasant surroundings for them with well-designed and meaningful objects.

In this session, Olivia Herms will share with you her journey from working at famous design studios in Paris, Stockholm and Munich, to setting up her own brand in 2019 with bada&bou, designing play furniture for kids.

With bada&bou, Olivia is questioning the boundaries between toys, furniture and design in order to create playful and elegant pieces with a mindful approach, and that appeal to both children and parents in their modern home.
