The International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) celebrate the pinnacle of design achievement annually since 1980. Winning an IDEA is a career-defining moment and positions winners in the global spotlight. Designers from around the world participate in this program, and we are proud to highlight their achievements in design.
During the IDEA presentation ceremony, IDEA Gold winners will be announced and trophies presented to the deserving teams behind the design. This year marks the introduction of the new IDEA trophy designed by fuseproject.
This is a black-tie optional evening. All attendees are encouraged to dress to impress!
The IDEA Gala is proudly presented by
Federico Casalegno, Chief Design & Innovation Officer at the new Samsung Design Innovation Center in San Francisco, will be on hand to deliver a few remarks about the partnership with IDEA and Samsung’s future focus on design.
The National WWII Museum
As one of the premier tourist destinations in the area, the National WWII Museum currently spans five pavilions featuring numerous permanent exhibits. Attendees of the IDEA Ceremony and Gala will be treated to the exhibits in the US Freedom Pavilion.
A ticket is required to attend both the Ceremony and Gala. Entry to the event is included with your professional and general admission conference ticket purchase. Those paying the academic rate can purchase a Ceremony and Gala ticket as an option. Additional tickets can also be purchased for guests or significant others.
